Privacy Policy

DateCamera privacy policy covering camera, location, photo storage, app analytics, website analytics, payments, and subscription status processing.

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app DateCamera, provided by Handicraft, and to the datetimestampcamera.com website.

Privacy and app-related inquiries can be sent through the developer contact shown on the Google Play store listing.

2. Information the app may access or process

Camera permission is requested to provide the camera preview and take photos.

Precise location may be used when you enable address display so the app can generate a location-based address label for the preview and photo.

Photos you take, including original or timestamped versions, may be stored in app storage or the device gallery.

App settings such as selected template, photo ratio, timer, address display, and consent status may be stored.

Purchase or subscription status may be checked through Google Play Billing and RevenueCat for paid features.

App interaction events and device or app identifiers may be processed through Amplitude to improve the app and understand feature usage.

When configured, datetimestampcamera.com may use Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity to process visited pages, browser and device information, and website interactions.

3. Purposes of use

Providing the camera screen and camera switching features.

Displaying timestamp information such as date, time, weekday, and address.

Saving user-selected templates, ratios, timers, and address display settings.

Saving, viewing, deleting, and sharing photos according to user actions.

Checking premium feature or subscription status, including address stamping and template position or size adjustments.

Analyzing app feature usage and improving the service.

Understanding website traffic and usability.

4. Photos, location, and address data

Photos are primarily processed on your device. The app is not intended to send photo contents, file paths, or gallery URIs as analytics event data.

When address display is enabled, location information may be converted into address text and shown on the photo.

If you save or share a photo that includes address text, that address information may remain embedded visually in the photo.

5. Third-party services

The app may use Amplitude, RevenueCat, Google Play Billing, and Android or Google location and geocoding-related services.

The website may use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for visit statistics and usability analysis.

These services may process app events, device and app information, purchase or subscription status, website visit information, and location-based requests needed for address lookup.

If you choose to share a photo, the selected file may be delivered to the app or service you choose, and that service's policy will apply afterward.

The app is not intended to send precise coordinates, address labels, photo file paths, or photo image contents to Amplitude analytics events.

6. Retention and deletion

Photos and settings in app storage may remain on the device until you delete them or uninstall the app.

Photos saved to the gallery can be deleted through the gallery app or supported in-app deletion features.

The app does not provide in-app account creation. Local app data can be removed by deleting app data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.

Information related to analytics, payments, and subscriptions may be retained according to each third-party service policy and legal requirements.

7. User choices and rights

You can allow or withdraw camera and location permissions in Android settings at any time.

If camera permission is withdrawn, shooting features cannot be used. If location permission is withdrawn or address display is turned off, address-based timestamp features may be limited.

Paid feature and subscription rights are handled through Google Play subscription management and Google Play policies.

Website analytics choices may be managed through browser settings, cookie blocking, tracking prevention, or opt-out tools provided by the analytics services.

8. Security

The app is designed to access camera, location, payment, and storage features only within the permissions needed for app functionality.

Network communication with external services uses the secure transport methods provided by those services, such as HTTPS.

Review photos that include location or address information before sharing them outside your device.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated when app features, third-party services, laws, or Google Play policies change. Important changes may be announced through the app or website.
